Continuing Professional Development Seminar on Revenue Law and Practice in Papua New Guinea

The PNG Centre for Judicial Excellence and KPMG Papua New Guinea are proud to announce a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar. The seminar will be hosted at the UPNG New Lecture Theatre, Waigani Campus on 22 February 2023, commencing at 5.30 pm.

Honourable Justice John Alexander Logan, RFD from the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme and National Courts of Papua New Guinea will be the guest presenter to speak on the topic of “Revenue Law and Practice in Papua New Guinea”. A panel discussion relating to the topic will follow involving Justice Les Gavara-Nanu, OBE, CSM, Senior Partner with KPMG Ms Karen McEntee, and Internal Revenue Commissioner of Papua New Guinea Mr. Sam Koim, OBE.

The target audience for this seminar will include Judges, Accountants, Lawyers, Law students, Business students and other professionals who are involved in providing audit, tax and advisory services across a wide range of industries, and government sectors.

The CPD seminar has been an on-going program and with the intention of providing support to lawyers and other professionals to enhance and broaden their capabilities in their different career paths. PNGCJE will continue to host programs that provide judicial education and training to its stakeholders in Papua New Guinea.
