PNGCJE staff graduates from a senior executive women’s program
A staff of the PNG Centre for Judicial Excellence graduated from a six-day senior executive women’s training program that was facilitated in Port Moresby recently.
Pacific Islands program officer Ms. Arabella Owen graduated alongside 15 other female participants.
Ms. Owen said the program was targeted to women in executive and senior management roles.
“The training is tailored to support participants build confidence, expand their skills and knowledge of business operations, and establish networks with other women in senior positions in the private and government sectors.
“With the training that we have just completed, we can now put to practice what we have learnt in the workplace and at home.
“It is a senior executive women’s program and for that I am grateful to have taken part in the course as it will give me confidence to do my work. The program also taught me new skills and encouraged me to connect with other professionals to learn about trends and opportunities within Government Departments and also in the private sector.
“I was grateful to see other participants from the Magisterial Services which included the Deputy Chief Magistrate Judicial, Ms. Josephine Kilage and also participants from the Department of Justice and Attorney General and the office of the Public Prosecutor.
“I thank Justice Services and Stability for Development (JSS4D) for nominating us to attend this six-day training and for paying for our course fees,” she said.
The training was coordinated by the Business Coalition for Women (BCFW).
